An established FMCG company is looking to employ a Sales Representative on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate must have solid experience in brand/account managing small, medium and large retail clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Working out personal sales strategy and execution
- Driving profitable growth and account development
- Servicing existing clientele as well as searching for new business opportunities (cold calling)
- Following up on sales leads
- Ensuring sales targets are me
- Area: West Rand (Candidate must reside in this area)
- Complete weekly call cycles at relevant retail stores (PnP, Shoprite, Spar etc.)
- Grow and maintain a customer/client database by building sound relationships
- Continuously seek new opportunities
- Resolve all customer queries promptly and professionally
- Drive orders and awareness on all product lines where applicable
- Receive and process orders with relevant parties
- Collaborate with Merchandisers etc. to drive the business performance
- Meet monthly sales targets
- Attend meetings when required
- Submit reporting to Key Accounts Managers
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric
- Speak English and Afrikaans
- Minimum of 5 years Sales Rep experience (Must have been in FMCG – Food industry essential)
- Must have been in sales for the past 5 years
- Must have called on Checkers / Pick n Pay or Spar Stores
- Own reliable transport essential – Tracker will be installed at company’s expense
- Able to work independently
- Target driven & proactive
- Stable work history
- Proven statistical and analytical ability
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Excellent business English – both verbal and written
- Established proficiency in MS Office
- Valid driver’s license is mandatory
Package & Remuneration
- R10K – R18K CTC
- CTC will include travel allowance, phone allowance & pension fund
- Petrol card will be provided
